GIVING BACK

For every fine-art print sold, Sej donates a percent of the proceeds to one of the following organizations, the journeys of whose Founders she has been following for several years and that, she believes, are making a significant difference in this world. Please feel free to reach out to her if you have any questions regarding these organizations.

THE BOA FOUNDATION
The Boa Foundation works with Indigenous and First Nations communities to regenerate degraded ecosystems and protect biodiversity. They support strategic land buybacks, assist with permaculture, reforestation projects, and a broad spectrum of eco-friendly solutions to increase the carrying capacity of land and community.

SEA LEGACY
Founded by some of Sej’s heroes in the field of conservation, this is an organization that she vouches for and supports wholeheartedly. Co-founded in 2014 by Cristina Mittermeier, a pioneer of the modern conservation photography movement, and Paul Nicklen, the renowned National Geographic polar photographer, and backed by some incredibly powerful and impactful photographers on our planet, Ami Vitale and Jimmy Chin, the SeaLegacy combines decades of experience in conservation, photography, and communications, with the latest digital and social technologies, to build a healthy future for our oceans. It allows us to donate under your (the collector’s) name, making you a part of their journey forever.

ART OF LIVING AND THE INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION FOR HUMAN VALUES
Sej has been a photographer for the sister organizations for ten years. She volunteers in other capacities as well, and donates to them whenever a chance arises. During COVID 19, she donated her framed prints to the IAHV for a fundraising auction to support the purchase of oxygen tanks and building of hospital beds in India. Her photograph received the highest bid.

ONE TREE PLANTED
For every print purchased, we donate a part of the proceeds to ONE TREE PLANTED, which is a non-profit, environmental charity that plant trees in countries around the world. One dollar plants one tree. Since their inception in 2014, One Tree Planted has planted 11 million trees in the ground around the world!

In the face of COVID 19, One Tree Planted has teamed up with Sustainable Green Initiative to plant 500,000 fruit trees in India to combat the food scarcity across the country and create sustainable livelihoods for small farmers, changing lives and strengthening local economies. The species they will focus on are: moringa, papaya, banana, lemon, guava, apricot, pear, peach, and jujubes.
